Mohamed Shabeer became the first Peterite football player to captain a Junior National Team, bringing glory and honour to his school. He has been selected to captain the Under 14 Football Team that is to tour Kazakhstan on 20 May.
College authorities, in recognition of his achievement, paid a glowing tribute to him recently at the college premises and wished him good luck on his tour. College had organised a ceremony and handed over a sponsorship cheque to the player, in the presence of his mother, the Vice Rector/Sports Coordinator, other school authorities and Junior Team members, a couple of days ago.
Rev. Fr. Rector Trevor Martin stated: “We are excited about the game of soccer and the progress it has made thus far. This is a true testament of the standards it has reached at college level and congratulated Shabeer for his great achievement.”
