Shabeer, first Peterite to lead a junior national football team

Mohamed Shabeer became the first Peterite football player to captain a Junior National Team, bringing glory and honour to his school. He has been selected to captain the Under 14 Football Team that is to tour Kazakhstan on 20 May.

24-05College authorities, in recognition of his achievement, paid a glowing tribute to him recently at the college premises and wished him good luck on his tour. College had organised a ceremony and handed over a sponsorship cheque to the player, in the presence of his mother, the Vice Rector/Sports Coordinator, other school authorities and Junior Team members, a couple of days ago.

Rev. Fr. Rector Trevor Martin stated: “We are excited about the game of soccer and the progress it has made thus far. This is a true testament of the standards it has reached at college level and congratulated Shabeer for his great achievement.”
