South Asian Gold and Silver medalist, Sri Lanka Navy Swimming captain, former Trinity College Swimming skipper Shehan de Silva won the open category of the Pentathlon Swimming Championship organised by Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union.
Shehan proved his class at the Sugathadasa swimming pool by winning 100 meters free style, 100 meters butterfly, 100 meters back stroke, 100 meters breast stroke and 400 meters individual medal convincingly with times of 9.24.03. Navy aquatic club ruled the pool and showed their supremacy in this Pentathlon open category.
