Hoping for a sunshine filled weekend, the 21st Singer-MCA Premier League 2014 will be continued with a card of six matches.
The tournament got off to an ominous start last weekend with a complete washout.
The MCA Tournament Committee with the consent of the Captains, decided to replay the three matches that were abandoned without a ball being bowled on Saturday, 19 October.
This weekend, 26 and 27 October, the reigning league winner, MAS Active Trading, led by Sameera Zoysa will be engaged in a crucial double-header vs. the formidable, MAwS Unichela Team on Saturday at the Moratuwa Stadium and vs. the experienced HNB side on Sunday at the NCC grounds.
The match between MAS Active Trading and HNB is one of the matches that got washed out last weekend.
The other four games billed for the weekend are: Seylan Bank vs. HNB at Braybrooke Place and John Keells vs. Sampath Bank at Thurstan College grounds (26 October), and MAS Unichela vs. John Keells at Braybrooke Place and debutants Commercial Credit & Finance vs. Seylan Bank at the Moratuwa Stadium (27 October).
