SIP Academy opens Rajagiriya Centre

By Ruzaik Farook SIP Academy Sri Lanka Ltd. opened its Rajagiriya Centre at Kreedapitiya Mawatha, Obeysekerapura recently. SIP Academy Sri Lanka has conducted its first International Abacus, Brain Gym & Mental Arithmetic Competition in Sri Lanka at Colombo in December 2007. Chief Guest Sri Jayawardenapura Hindu Vidyalaya Principal K. R. Sharma opened the centre along with Country Manager Rishard Raheem, SIP Academy Sri Lanka and Rajagiriya Centre Course Instructor Manaal Mubarak and M. Mafaz. SIP Academy Sri Lanka, which was incepted in 2004, is a skill development organisation. The ‘world-class’ program for children is designed for children of age five to 15 years that improves their learning skills.  SIP Academy is the only Abacus organisation in the world which promises five times improvement in arithmetic skills among children through its SIP Abacus Program. Over 10,000 children across 19 centres in the age group between five to 12 years from SIP Learning Centres. Women’s empowerment: This program offered by SIP Academy Sri Lanka reach children through Franchise Network. Apart from creating intelligence in young children, SIP Sri Lanka also empowers women entrepreneurs. The untapped potential of educated homemaker is channelised by empowering their role as a Learning Centre franchisee or course instructor. Out of 22 franchisees, 18 are women entrepreneurs.  Most of SIP’s course instructors are also women. SIP Academy Sri Lanka has more than 19 SIP Learning Centres in Borella, Dematagoda, Delgoda, Grandpass, Kotahena, Mattakuliya, Kollannawa, Kalubowila, Narahenpita, Makola, Colpetty, Wellawatte, Wattala, Negombo, Rajagiriya, Kiribathgoda, Kathankuddy, Gampola and Malwana conduct the SIP Abacus & Brain Gym program.
