SJMS wins Inter-Auditors Cricket Tournament

After a lapse of many years SJMS Associates Sports Club won the inter Auditors’ men’s cricket tournament at the recently concluded event organized by the Practicing Accountants Chartered Students’ Society (PACSS) held at the NCC grounds. 

The SJMS team consisted of M. M. Inshard (Captain), Tharanga Nuwan Hathurusinghe, K. S. I. Somarathne, M. R. Ashick Mohamed, A. H. Chanaka Maduwantha, K. M. Gayan Sameera Madusanka, M. A. Srinath Gunawardena and L. L. C. Silva. 

Having beaten B R de Silva, Ernst & Young, KMPG, and Krestons in the earlier matches, SJMS beat Jayasinghe& Company in the finals by four wickets. Jayasinghe and Company scored 45 and SJMS replied with 51, with Ashick Mohamed scoring the winning hit with a six. Skipper Inshard top scored with an unbeaten 27 with 6 fours.
