SL-Lebanon Davis Cup draw announced

The draw for the Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Zone Group Two tie between Sri Lanka and Lebanon was held last morning in Colombo.

Sri Lankan top seed Harshana Godamanne was drawn against Hady Habib, while Sharmal Dissanayake will play Jad Ballout. Meanwhile in the doubles encounter, Godamanne and Dissanayake will take on Lebanon’s Ballout and their most experienced player Giovani Samaha.

The matches are on from 17-19 July, with the singles matches being played today and Sunday and the doubles on Saturday. All matches will be best of five tie break sets.

The clash is a crucial one as it will decide which country is relegated into Group Three from 2016. Sri Lanka have been in Group Two since 2011.
