Sri Lanka Cricket said yesterday that the Premier Limited Over Tournament 2013/2014 will kick off on 1 December 2013.
This tournament will consist of 45 games out of which selected games will be shown live on CSN including the two semi finals and the final.
Since the Premier League Tournament will be Live on CSN, it will give an opportunity for the clubs and its players to display their skills and attract sponsorships for their respective clubs. It also will give maximum exposure to the on field umpires and for the first time the third umpire facilities will also be used during the live telecast. This will be a great opportunity for the on-field and third umpires to be tested on their performance.
SLC had a special meeting for the respective club captains and the match official briefing them on the new regulations and playing conditions that came into effect which will be enforced in this tournament. There will be several foreign players who will take the field in this upcoming tournament.
