SLIIT wins Leader’s Trophy inter-university basketball tournament 2012

The men’s basketball team of SLIIT won the Leader’s Trophy, an inter-university basket ball tournament organised by the Kotalawala Defense University (KDU), held at the KDU basketball courts recently. In the semi finals, SLIIT beat University of Moratuwa 42-35 and went on to outplay ACBT 39-38 in a thrilling finale.Adding to SLIIT’s victory, Videha Dothaka Wickramasuriya won the award for most valuable player of the tournament, with Tharindu Lakshantha walking away with the award for best defensive player.
