SPEED 2012 flags off Pannala this weekend

Motor racing fans are in for a treat when the Speed 2012 Championship phase II kicks off at the revamped Pannala race track this weekend, 27 May

This second leg of the Speed Championships is jointly organised by the Sri Lanka Motor Cycle Club (SLMCC), Ceylon Motor Sports Club (CMSC) and the Asian Motor Racing Club (AMRC) and is expected to start from 9a.m. on Sunday with official practices for grid positions being held a day earlier.



The First Round of the Speed Championship 2012 concluded in February this year at the Pannala Race Track on a resounding note in the presence of the Minister of Sports Mahindaanada Aluthgamage.

Some of the top drivers in fray who participated in the last round including Dinesh Deheragoda, Arvinda Premadasa, Nigel Perera, Nalaka Dias, Ashane Silva, Pasindu Peiris, Janaka Dias, just to name some are expected to compete this weekend as well.
