Sri Lanka-Australia T20 cricket series Live on ITN

The ITN Media Network has acquired the telecast rights of the T20 series between Sri Lanka and Australia. 

Running simultaneously with the live telecast over ITN will be ball-by-ball commentary in Sinhala which will be broadcast on ITN FM. The series comprises three matches commencing on 17 February, with the second game being played on 19 February and the third on 22 February. 

The formal agreement to confer telecast rights was signed by Working Director Dhanushka Ramanayake, ITN Network Board Member Prishantha Dissanayake and Rohith Hettiarachchi representing Merchant Horizon F.Z.L.L.C. Dubai.   

ITN CEO Chandana Thilakaratna stated that this marked an important milestone in the four-decade history of ITN. He further stated that ITN for the first time was geared to telecast a live cricket series to entertain Sri Lanka cricket fans and expressed confidence that the Sri Lankan team would carry the series as it had done in South Africa. 

Merchant Horizon F.Z.L.L.C. Dubai Director Ravi Shankar Chaud Kuni said that they were extremely happy to join together with the pioneer TV station in Sri Lanka to telecast the T20 series.
