Sri Lanka rugby outfit under Sudharshan Muthuthanthri will be playing their last match today when they lock horns with tournament point leaders the Philippines in the first game of the final few days’ proceedings in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
In the second game, hosts Malaysia will battle it out with Singapore. Philippines and Malaysia are on the number 1 position with 6 points each while Sri Lanka is at number 3 with 5 points followed by Singapore on 4 points.
A win is a must for Sri Lanka and at the same time it must score more points than Malaysia on aggregate. Malaysia is full of Fijians in their outfit.
According to reliable sources, Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union (SLRFU) will be writing to the Asian Rugby with regard to this incident requesting them to go through the eligibility criteria of these players. (SJ)
