Sri Lanka Pakistan Friendship Sports Gala 2013 held in a grand manner

The Sri Lanka Pakistan Friendship Association, in collaboration with the Pakistan High Commission in Sri Lanka and the Malay Cricket Club, organised the 2013 Sports Gala last week at the Malay Cricket Club grounds, Padang, Slave Island.
The Supreme Court Judge, Justice Salim Marsoof and Mrs. Marsoof were the Chief Guests while the High Commissioner of Pakistan Gen. Qasim Qureshi and Mrs. Qureshi were the Guests of Honour. The event was aimed at fostering friendship and fellowship amongst the Sri Lankans and the Pakistani community in Sri Lanka.
The Sports Gala featured a number of activities including three friendly cricket matches for men, women and children teams. The event also included various interesting activities like Tug of War (Males, Females and Children) and Breaking the Pot.
A large number of Pakistanis based in Sri Lanka, along with all members of the Sri Lanka Pakistan Friendship Association as well as Malay Cricket Club attended the event, together with their family members.
