Sri Lanka Under 20 rugby players under Kevin Dixon looked rock solid on day one when they ended the Asian Youth Rugby Sevens 2016 unbeaten in Hong Kong yesterday. This is the second and the final leg with the team highest in aggregate in both awarded as the series winners.
Sri Lanka beat Taipei (36/12), Thailand (40/5) and Malaysia (40/5) in total collecting 116 points in their three games and conceding only 4 tries against them. Against Taipei tries were scored by Omalka (2), Nishon (2), Kushal (1) and Dixon (1). Against Thailand Buddima (2), Reza (2), Kusal (1), Tariq (1) and Rehan (1) planted the tries. In the last game against Malaysia Reza (2), Nishon (1), Omalka (1), Burah (1), Vimukthi (1) and Supun (1) scored the tries. In total Sri Lankans scored 20 tries in their three games.
Today Sri Lanka will meet South Korea in one of the Cup Semi finals at 11:36 a.m. Sri Lankan time.
