Sri Lanka women’s cricket to tour India next month

Colombo: Sri Lanka national women’s team will undertake a tour of India next month, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced on Wednesday. The women’s team from the island nation will tour India between 14 to 27 January for three ODIs and as many Twenty20 games. The selectors on Wednesday named a 23-member preliminary squad from which the final squad of 14 will be picked up.

The preliminary squad features all big names in Srilankan women’s cricket in captain Shashikala Siriwardana, opening batswoman Chamari Atapattu, all-rounder Eshani Lokusuriya, Chamari Polgampola, Yashoda Mendis, Sripali Weerakkody and Chamani Seneviratne.
