SriLankan Airlines athletes excel at Mercantile Athletic Championships

SriLankan Airlines’ Athletes emerged the second runner up at the 32nd Sri Lanka Mercantile Annual Athletic Championship, Novices and Veterans meet, held at at MahindaRajapaksha international Stadium, Diyagama.

Competing with over forty companies, SriLankan scored 166 points, having bagged 21 gold, 20 silver and eight bronze medals. SriLankan also became Overall Runners Up – Masters Athletic Men Trophy and Overall Runners Up – Men’s Athletic Trophy.

Narmada Gayathri from SriLankan Engineering was awarded the Best Athlete (women’s) over 35 title, while Susantha Mawela and KPM Fernando from Security and Investigations won Best Athlete (Men’s) over 45 and Athlete (Men’s) over 50 titles respectively.
