SriLankaSports.com to organise U-15 Schools Handball Challenge

Sri Lanka’s first sports website – www.srilankasports.com – intends organising an Under-15 Schools Boys & Girls Handball tournament, the ‘Sri Lankasports.com Handball Challenge 2012,’ in association with the Schools’ Handball Association on 24 and 25 March 2012. The venue will be the Indoor Stadium of D.S. Senanayake College Colombo 7.

The ‘Sri Lankasports.com Handball Challenge 2012’ will be the first ever Under-15 Schools Boys & Girls Handball tournament in Sri Lanka with the participation of 16 boys’ and 12 girls’ schools under the direction of the Sri Lanka Schools’ Handball Association.

The tournament will be held for Cup, Plate and Bowl Championships and apart from the Challenge trophies, Sri Lankasports.com intends giving away a certificate of participation for all the players with the official certification from the Sri Lanka Schools Handball Association.

It is pertinent to mention that srilankasports.com has a successful history of organising special sporting events of this nature and all those events happened to be the first of their kind in Sri Lanka.

It organised Sri Lanka’s first-ever Under 19 Schools’ Futsal event (Sri Lankasports.com Futsal Challenge) under the direction of the Football Federation of Sri Lanka and The Sri Lanka Schools’ Football Association for two consecutive years.

Sri lankasports.com was also responsible for organising Sri Lanka’s first ever day-night Inter Club Beach football tournament and in addition it is the organiser of the Sri Lankasports.com Inter Company Netball Challenge for four successful years with a introduction of 7-side rugby format to the game of netball in Sri Lanka.
