The employees of HNB Assurance PLC received the opportunity to display their numerous talents at the company’s Sports Day held recently at the D.S. Senanayake College grounds, Colombo.
It was a fun filled day that not only brought out the best of sports talents but also the creativity of the staff, as five teams competed under colourful themes; Red Indians, Pirates, Gladiators, Vikings and Romans.
Internationally renowned sports star Damayanthi Dharsha graced the event as the chief guest. The atmosphere at the ground was highly exciting as each team toiled hard to highlight their themes, dressing up in vibrant colours and creating fascinating tents.
The events on the agenda included track events, swimming, badminton and volleyball as well as many other fun events that attracted many a crowd. The highlight of the day was the selection of and Mr. And Mrs. HNBA, which was conducted under the patronage of popular actress and beautician Gayathri Dias.
HNB Assurance Managing Director Manjula de Silva stated: “HNBA employees from across the island participated actively in the event, and it was no doubt a memorable day in their careers at HNBA. It was entertaining to watch all five teams putting their heart and soul and driving their teams to victory with much enthusiasm and high team spirit.”
