Textured Jersey continued to dominate the mercantile cricket ‘B’ division as they beat Union Bank by 10 wickets with over 40 overs to spare.
Rain interrupted their game against Raigam Marketing at the Surrey grounds in Kalutara when Textured Jersey were in an extremely strong position.
Lahiru Udara had his best batting performance of the season, scoring 190 runs off just 155 balls against Raigam Marketing. His brilliant innings included five massive hits over the rope followed by 23 fours to all parts of the ground.
Lahiru continued to showcase his superb batting against Union Bank, scoring an unbeaten 92 runs in just 35 balls. Textured Jersey also registered the highest team score of 345/4 against Raigem Marketing.
Lahiru Fernando bagged 5 for 26 which restricted Union Bank to just 120 runs all out in 35 overs. All-rounder Ishan Peiris dominated with both bat and ball, scoring an elegant 75 against Raigem Marketing followed by an excellent display of off spin against Union Bank with 4 for 8 in just 3.3 overs.
