The Bradby Fiesta on 10 May: Fitting excitement to match a fiery encounter

The excitement at the 70th Bradby Shield Encounter will be further fuelled with the first-ever Bradby Fiesta, a carnival poised to enhance the festive gaiety of the coloured clash.
While the Bradby Encounter between the ‘Kandy lions’ and the ‘Colombo elephants’ will kick off at the hallowed Royal College Sports Complex, the Bradby Fiesta will be held on 10 May 2014 at the Bloomfield Grounds and Race Course Grounds from 10 a.m. to 12 midnight.
The Bradby Fiesta will be jointly hosted by Royal College Colombo, Trinity College Kandy and the Royal College Union (RCU). Come witness a fitting atmosphere to the explosive passion and spirit of the occasion. The entire clash will be telecast live on LED screens for rugby fans to keep a steady tab of the developments in the game and yet have their share of fun and frolic.
Battery and Black will edge the crowd on with their pulsating music while guest artistes such as Ronnie Leach, Asanka Sahabandu, Mariazelle Gunatilleke and Dushyanth Weeraman will add their flavour to the occasion.
Every family member will have their fair share of fun and frolic. Ogle at the hottest fashions at the fashion show, get footloose with the guest DJ and YES FM team, walk tall with stilt walkers, have a laugh with cartoon characters and clowns, and be fascinated by a spectacular fireworks display and laser man show.
For those who like a little shake up, hop on the rodeo bull and get rattled with a heady drum fusion, get the jitters with the house of horrors, jet rides, swoon with the octopus machine and shake a leg with the papare band. An array of games for children will include mini golf, crazy cans, balloon darts, football shoot and many more fun games.
Adequate gastronomic delights will be available at food stalls placed at all quarters of the venue from reputed brands to match the ravenous appetites of the excited crowds and to compensate for the sporadic outbursts of energy.
