The fierce competition for the CEAT Sri Lanka Super Series 2016 Championship, which has left motorsports fans on the edge of their seats, will come to an exciting close on 4 December with the final races to determine the event’s true champions.
The final race meet will be held at the Pannala racetrack and will be followed by the awards ceremony to recognise the overall champion driver and the overall champion rider.
The Pannala racetrack is Sri Lanka’s only racetrack that has been built according to international FIA standards and is the perfect location for the final race of the series. The Pannala track is currently the only track on which Formula cars can be seen in action. The Formula cars have been a steppingstone for many young drivers in their racing careers. This year too, the Formula McLarens 1300 event will be the one to look forward to. The CEAT Sri Lanka Super Series is jointly organised by the Asian Motor Racing Club and Sri Lanka Association of Racing Drivers and Riders (SLARDAR).
With so much at stake during this series, it won’t be just the competitors who have their hearts in their mouths but the audience as well.
The race meet, which will include Sri Lanka’s best racers and riders, is scheduled to start at 9.00 a.m. on 4 December. All cars and motorcycle racing enthusiasts are welcome to participate and entry forms can be collected from and submitted to the SLARDAR office, 128 (2nd Floor), High Level Road, Nugegoda between 9.00 am and 4.00 pm on weekdays. The closing date for entries will be 25 November.
