Top Indian driver Gaurav Gill has made it two different winners from two rounds of the 2013 FIA Asia-Pacific Rally Championship with a dominant display on Rallye de Nouvelle Caledonie this weekend with a comfortable margin over countryman Sanjay Takale. Australia’s Simon Knowles finished third following a close battle between the pair. A big jump played havoc as the battle for victory on Rallye de Nouvelle Caledonie turned into a battle for survival after several drivers hitting trouble during a dramatic rain-affected opening leg of the second round of the Asia-Pacific championship, which is being bossed by last year’s winner Gaurav Gill. Wurth, the official partner to the Asia Pacific Rally Championship, was seen in action with the competing teams, providing on-site support with specialised products to get the rally machines in top shape after each rally run. The weather has had an adverse effect on the vehicles, and Wurth products have played a big part in getting the machines in shape in double quick time. Wurth Lanka, the local branch office and a fully owned subsidiary, is pleased to bring to the local motoring fans the current news from the APRC, events.
