The Trade Finance Association of Bankers (TFAB), in keeping with its objectives of promoting goodwill, understanding and fellowship amongst bankers engaged in trade finance, is organising the annual ‘TFAB-Cricket Sixes’ for the sixth time. This year’s event will be a day-night cricket tournament with many other fun filled activities for the bankers involved in trade finance. In this year’s tournament, more than 20 teams will battle for the ‘Trade Finance Association of Bankers – Challenge Trophy’. The event will be held on 30 May at the NCC Grounds Colombo 7, commencing from 1:30 p.m. Each team will be of nine players of which at least two shall be females. Matches consist of a maximum of 5 overs of 5 balls each, per side up to the Quarter Final stage. There onwards it will be 5 overs of 6 balls per side. Last year the challenge trophy was won by Commercial Bank. In addition to the challenge trophy best batsman and best bowler will be given a special trophy.
