Trinity in command against President’s College

By Shamseer Jaleel Trinity College Kandy was in a strong position against President’s College Rajagiriya in an inter-school under 19 cricket encounter, which commenced at the Asgiriya Stadium in Kandy yesterday. President’s College Rajagiriya was shot out for 127 in their first innings. A fine exhibition of left-arm leg spin bowling by Shanogeeth Shanmuganathan, who took 5 wickets for 26, was the highlight of the game. In reply, Trinity scored well over five runs an over, ending Day One on 245 for 8. Trinity opening batsman Arjuna Jayasinghe scored a sparkling 147, which included 19 boundaries and one six.
