Trinity College under 17 cricketers booked their berth to the pre-quarter finals of the Under 17 Inter school cricket, when they over-came De Mezonad Kandana by 65 runs in their encounter played at the Asgiriya Stadium in Kandy yesterday.
Batting sensation for the Trinitians, Shanogeeth Shanmuganthan once again stroked a brisk 75 inclusive of three boundaries and seven sixes in a total of 194 by the Kandy school. In reply the Kandana school were shot out for a low 130. Trinity Skipper Hasitha Boyagoda spun the web around the visitors with a fine spell of off spinners and ended with six for 22.
