Trinity to open season against Rajans

By Shamseer Jaleel Trinity College Kandy will kick off the inter-school rugby tournament with a game against Dharmaraja College which will be played at the Pallekelle rugby stadium in March. Number 8 and Sri Lanka Youth team member Isuru Rangala will lead the Trinity College Kandy Under 20 rugby team for 2014/2015. Trinity will be keen to maintain their Bradby Shield winning streak, which stretches over three consecutive years under the leadership of Kaneel Seneviratne, Halique Wadood and Tharinda Ratwatte. They will also be all out to maintain a clean sheet in the coming year. Isuru Rangala is fortunate to have 11 last year’s players playing for him. Rangala will have Sachintha Dissanayaka as his deputy. Trinity share their group with Dharmaraja College, St. Anthony’s College, S. Thomas’ College, Science College and Royal College. In other action, C.W.W. Kannangara, Wesley College, Isipathana, St. Joseph’s College and St. Peter’s College will lock horns. In the second round the top four teams from each group will play each other.
