Past pupils of Trinity College Kandy, Royal College Colombo 7 and S. Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia (and their affiliated schools at Kollupitiya, Gurutalawa and Bandarawela) will join forces for a series of events which will look to strengthen bonds between each of these three schools.
The first event in the series is called TRT Cricket Sixes, a mixed collegiate cricket match which will be held on 23 November at the CH&FC grounds from 9.30 a.m. onwards. This cricket match is unique in how each team will have at least one Old Boy playing for each college rather than the mundane form of playing against one another.
The day will take on a festive atmosphere coupled with several fairground attractions and game stalls that will provide entertainment for everyone.
The ‘Troytho’ spirit in which these events are received, is not born of sheer coincide, but as a culmination of brotherhood which knows no geographical boundaries and which extends far beyond the walls of each institution and continues to thrive even during trying times.
These great institutions have produced above all, men of honour and integrity who cherish and appreciate their invaluable circumstances. Their values and traditions ensure them a league of their own.
