TTSC Men’s and Women’s Softball Six-a-Side Cricket Tournament tmorrow

The most popular event in the Travel Trade Sports Calendar, the Men’s & Women’s Softball Six-a-Side Cricket Tournament, will take place this Sunday, 11 September at the Shalika Grounds, Narahenpita, commencing 8 a.m. 

The 39th edition of the tournament is once again sponsored by Aitken Spence Travels. 

Entries have been called from the TTSC Membership and will close on Thursday, 8 September at 3 p.m. with Gayani Karunaratne, C/o Aitken Spence Travels, Vauxhall Tower II, 04th Floor , Vauxhall Street, Colombo 2.

The Official Draw will be held on the same day at 5 p.m. at the Aitken Spence Travels Board Room.

The previous tournament was held on 22 November 2015 at Shalika and DSS College grounds. After the tournament got underway in glorious sun shine, the heavens opened in the evening, forcing the Men’s tournament to a standstill at the Semi-Final Stage; subsequently the Winners and Runners-Up were decided by a toss of a coin.

Jetwing Sea Negombo was the Winner and Camelot Beach, Negombo was the Runners-Up; the women’s final, which escaped the rain, was won by Amaya Hills, Kandy beating their sister hotel, Amaya Lake, Dambulla.
