Under 20 Club sevens for Asian Sevens: Isipathana secure first trophy for the year

Isipathana College beat Agoal Rugby Academy 26/10 at the Under 20 rugby football sevens finals organised by the Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union (SLRFU) and conducted at the Racecourse Rugby Grounds yesterday.

The 12 team competition was organised in order to select the touring squad for the Asian Under 20 sevens which will take place in Malaysia (15 and 16 August) and the second leg in Hong Kong (21 and 22 August).

In the plate segment Kandurata beat SC Maroons 26/5 to win the Plate trophy. The national selectors will name the initial pool this week for the Asian first leg in Malaysia. 

The final squad will comprise 12 players plus three officials on tour.
