Visakha holds Inter-House Swimming Meet

Visakha Vidyalaya's annual Inter-House Swimming Meet will be held at 1.00 pm on Tuesday February 22, 2011 at the School's Swimming Complex.

Chief Guest will be Prof. (Ms.) Aswini D. Fernando, MBBS (Cbo), FRCP (Lon), MD (Paediatrics) (Cbo), She is Professor of the Department of Paediatrics, Faculty of Medicine of the University of Kelaniya, and also a past Visakhian and swimmer at school.

Over 200 Visakhians, representing the Motwani, Dawes, Jayatilleke, Weerasuriya, Dias, Pulimood Houses will compete with each other in individual events and in relays in five age groups.

Many fun events have also been organised for the younger swimmers.

Vishaka swimmers were able to secure the National School Championship 2010 marking very special milestone in Visaka's swimming history. With outstanding achievements at various swimming meets, the young Visakhian swimmers have also brought triumph to their school.

The National Colours Awards Ceremony, Milo Colours Awards Ceremony and the Visaka Colours Awards Ceremony were some of the events at which Visakha swimmers’ outstanding achievements were highlighted.
