WNS hosts third annual basketball tournament

WNS, Sri Lanka’s leading off-shoring service provider with over 600 professionals in the fields of finance and accounting, legal services and financial services serving a large international clientele, gathered at the Otters Aquatic Club for their annual basketball tournament.  

Held for the third year, the basketball tournament is the most eagerly awaited event on the WNS calendar due to the great fanfare that has been consistently maintained since 2007. Over 600 people turned up, creating a festive atmosphere and enthusiastically cheered on the participating teams.

This year, 16 teams from the company participated with their own cheering squads who added extra glamour to the event. The final battle was between the AI Avengers and the Red Devils, with the Red Devils emerging victorious as the champions of 2013. The final score was 14-8.

In the first semi-final match, the Avengers beat the Fantastic 7 5-1 and in the second, the Red Devils beat the Pirates 14-4.
