YMCA Moratuwa conducts Mr. ‘Y’ contest

The annual Mr. ‘Y’ contest organised by the YMCA Moratuwa was conducted for the fourth time at its main hall recently.

Valuable cash gifts, mementos and certificates were given away to the winners under different categories. The overall winner Dushmantha Udayanga was awarded the Siridasa Liyanage Memorial Challenge Trophy by the Chief Guest and veteran referee Desha Liyanage. The Trainer Kingsley Dabarey, attached to the YMCA Moratuwa, was awarded a special appreciation certificate in recognition of his untiring efforts at preparing the contestants for the competition.

The President of the YMCA Moratuwa Nihal Ferdinando, together with its Sports Committee Chairman J.S.A. Fernando and other Directors and members of the general public, were present to witness this keenly contested event.
