Young golfer Sachin De Silva creates history

The 138-year-old Royal Colombo Golf Club saw history being created by young Sachin de Silva when he became the first member of the club to have a clean sweep in the South West Monsoon Meet which was played over a period of four days recently in July.

Sachin had a 13-shot lead over runner-up Amrith De Soysa in the Gross Event and a six-shot lead over runner-up Avanka Herath in the Nett Event.
