Zahira College Colombo Group of ’90s organise Sports Festival 2014

The Group of ’90s of Zahira College Colombo will be having its annual Sports Festival for the eighth consecutive year on 23 November 2014 at Zahira College Grounds from 7:30 a.m. onwards. The Organising Committee of this Festival has lined up several events for the Old Boys as well for the present students of the college.
This year too there will be a 6-a-side softball cricket tournament, 6-a-side Soccer tournament, Tag Rugby Tournament and an Exhibition Soccer match between Sri Lankan Legends and Zahira Legends. The finals of Cricket, Soccer and Rugby are scheduled for 4 p.m. and the Exhibition Soccer match is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. There will be a karate display by the Zahira College Karate Team at 3:30 p.m. The intention of organising a festival of this nature is primarily to foster goodwill among the Old Boys and to generate funds for the development of the college infrastructure and students’ educational and extra-curricular activities.
