Zahira College primary annual athletic meet 2016

Zahira College primary annual athletic meet 2016 was held at the college grounds recently and Angora House emerged champions. 

Angora House Captain Mohamed Shimak received the Challenge Shield from Guest of Honour Member of the Board of Governor Nusky Anver. Chief Guest Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Harsha De Silva, distinguished old boy Zacky Lantra, Board of Governors Chairman Fouzul Hameed, Principal Trizviiy Marikkar and Head of the Primary Shihana Aslam distributed gold medals and prizes to the winners. Vice Principals, Members of the Board of Governors, old boys and parents were also present. The overall championship was won by the Angora (74.5), Cordova House (56), Marks was second place, Istanbul House (51.5) was third place and Baghdad House (29) obtained the fourth place.

The U10 champion M.H. Abdullah and Best Athletic Champion M.S. Muhammad received awards from the Guest of Honour.

In the 100 M Relay and Group Event Angora House won first place. For Best Decoration House, Baghdad House won first place. Best marching squad went to Cordova House and Best Drill Display went to Angora House. Principal Marikkar presented a memento to Chief Guest Dr. Harsha De Silva.

The Inter House Sports Meet was organised by Marikkar with the assistance of the staff. The Head Prefect of the Primary proposed the Vote of Thanks.
