Zahira College stages Sports Day for Old Boys

Zahira College Colombo’s Old Boys Association organised a Sports Day at the college grounds recently.  Rugby, cricket, soccer, swimming, table tennis, rifle shooting and many more sports activities were held between the Old Boys groups. 

Zahira College Senior Vice Principal Ananda Ponnemperuma was the event’s Chief Guest and distributed awards to the champion groups.

The Overall Champion Trophy was awarded to the Group of 2009, which secured the highest tally of points while soccer champions the Zahira Veterans received a champion shield from Chief Guest Ananda Ponnemperuma. The swimming event saw the Group of 2009 and 2012 emerge joint champions. They received their award from Board Governor M.M. Mohamed.  

College Principal Trizviiy Marikkar, OBA President M.U.M. Azmi, Secretary Akram Moulana and several Old Boys were present at this event.
