Zahira Group of ’80 six-a-side cricket tourno this weekend

Zahira College Colombo Group of ’80 will organise the six a side cricket tournament to mark the 120 years celebration of the Zahira College. It will be held on 8 and 9 September at the College Grounds.

This tournament is approved by the Ministry of Education and the blessings of the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association.

The winner team of the tournament will be given champion trophy, medals , certificates and cash prize Rs. 50,000 and runners up will receive cash prize Rs. 25,000, trophy, medals, and certificates. Also trophies will be awarded to the man of the series, best batsman, best bowler and best fielder with participants teams will be awarded certificates.  

The participants 23 schools will be Carey College, DS Senanayake College, Dharmarajah Vidyalaya (Kandy), Dharmapala Vidyalaya (Pannipitiya) , De Mazenod College (Kandna), Gurukula Vidyalaya (Kelaniya), Gateway International College , Isipathana College , Lumbini College, Lyceum International College , Mahanama College, Maristella College, Moratuwa Vidyalaya, Prince of Wales College, Presidents College, Richmond College (Galle) , Royal College (Panadura), Royal Institute, St Joseph College, St. Benedicts College , Veluwana College , Wesley College and Zahira College Colombo.
