Zahira College Colombo felicitated its junior rugby players at the College Hall recently. Principal Trizvi Marikkar congratulated the players and said they had a good future in sports and that Zahira College rugby was upgrading by the day.
Marikkar also expressed appreciation for the Board of Governors, Sports Council and Old Boys and their contribution to develop sports. He advised the players to obey the instructions and advice of the Coach, Captain and Master in Charge.
Principal Marikkar, Board of Governors’ Secretary Rizvi Niyas, Sports Council President M.S.M. Mazeer and Secretary Muhseen Ariff distributed gold medals and certificates to the players. Tokens of appreciation and gifts items were presented to Rugby Coach Shantha Dharmarathna, Master in Charge H.D. Kariyawasam and Prefect of Discipline M.Z. Farook by Aslam Thowfeek, Managing Director of the Rite Shu.
