The Zahira College Group of Sixties (G60) organised rugby tournaments recognised by the Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association will kick off on 6 February at the Zahira College Grounds, Maradana from 8 a.m. onwards. This event has gained popularity among the rugby playing schools in Colombo and outstation.

Leading local schools are due to participate in the tournament. The participating schools are Isipathana College, Thurstan College, Lalith Athulathmudali College, Prince of Wales College, Royal College Panadura, St. Benedict’s College, Vidyratha College Kandy, Carey College, C.W.W. Kannangara Vidyalaya, Mahanama College, Zahira College and IM Sarawak Combined Schools in Malaysia.
Attractive prizes await the winners, in addition to the trophies and medals. The cup winners will receive a challenge cup, replica, cash prize of Rs. 50,000 and the runners up will get replica, Rs. 25,000 while the plate winners will receive replica, Rs. 20,000 cash prize and the runners up Rs. 10,000 cash prize along with Rs. 10,000 and Rs.5000 cash prize for the winners and runners of the Bowl Championship respectively.
