Colombo will clearly be on the map for luxury yachts navigating between the Red Sea, the Maldives, and the Far East,” Herath added.
He congratulated Browns Investments PLC and CHECH for the $ 120 million investment. “You belong to a group of pioneering investors who have placed strong confidence and trust in a country which is reinvigorating its journey in becoming a centre for multi sectoral investment. He also said the Port City Colombo envisions Sri Lanka’s future trajectory bringing the unique location in the Indian Ocean to the forefront. “It encapsulates what our island nation has been for centuries, a meeting point between the East and West, an economic and trading hub and places where cultures and people converge. It blends tradition with modernity of our island Nation and places it within the warm and welcoming spirit of our people.”
“This project is consistent with the Government’s policy, which focuses on sustainable development, inclusive growth, and creating opportunities for all Sri Lankans. Guided by our political mandate to ensure inclusivity, prosperity and equity, we are dedicated to fostering projects that uplift the nation and its people,” Minister Herath said
