Anantara Tangalle won this prestigious award for the second consecutive year. This is the sixth significant international award the resort has won and the property has established itself as one of the leading resorts on the island to travellers both from abroad and locally. Due to this strong support, Anantara Tangalle has achieved significant international and local recognition, including in Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards in 2016, being named on DestinAsian magazine’s 2016 Luxe List, being awarded by Wine Spectator in 2016 and 2017 for its Il Mare restaurant, and included in the Condé Nast Traveler US’s 2017 Hot List.

The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are the longest-running and among the most admired recognition of excellence in the travel industry and are commonly known as “the best of the best of travel”. This year, the awards received votes from over 300,000 readers for 7,320 hotels, 610 cities, 468 cruise ships, 255 islands, and 194 airports, resulting in 1,859 of the best travel experiences in the world, including some of Anantara’s finest properties and locations.

“We are extremely proud to win this prestigious award which recognises the quality of the resort’s luxury accommodation and distinctive services. This recognition is even more meaningful as it comes directly from the magazine’s readers, many of whom we have been lucky enough to welcome as our guests. This honour is shared by our resort team who dedicate themselves to create authentic and indigenous experiences and lasting memories exemplified by this recognition,” said Anantara Tangalle General Manager Ross Sanders.

Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort offers guests a unique resort experience in Sri Lanka.
