As the countdown begins to Christmas, Emirates is joining in to help travellers celebrate the spirit of the festive season with family and friends in Europe by offering special fares to some iconic destinations where the Yuletide is still celebrated with traditional gusto.

From the Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park, the London Bridge Christmas market or Christmas in Leicester Square; the Christmas bazaar at Rome’s Piazza Novona, Christmas Eve mass at St. Peter’s Basilica or the Christmas lights of centro storico; the Amsterdam light festival or the Christmas tree in Vienna’s Piazza Duomo, every major European city creates experiences that are evocative of the season of good cheer.

Offering travellers from Sri Lanka an opportunity to indulge their passion for Christmas and the celebration associated with it, or to lock-in fares for as long as 10 months for future travel, Emirates’ just-unveiled all-inclusive fares start at $ 591 (about Rs. 106,000) for an Economy Class return ticket to Milan and encompass 18 popular destinations in Europe.

Available from 19 to 25 November for travel between 24 November 2019 and 30 September 2020, these attractive fares enable travel on Economy Class to destinations such as London ($ 833/Rs. 150,000 inclusive of taxes), Rome ($ 608/Rs. 109,500), Paris ($ 621/Rs. 112,000) and Amsterdam ($ 622/Rs. 112,000) on Emirates, one of the world’s most-awarded airlines.

Business Class fares inclusive of taxes start at $ 2,426 (approximately Rs. 437,000) to Geneva, $ 2,737 (Rs. 492,700) to Rome, $ 2,784 (Rs. 501,000) to Frankfurt, $ 2,794 (Rs. 503,000) to Paris and $ 2,863 (Rs. 515,500) to London Heathrow.

Members of Emirates Skywards, the airline’s award-winning loyalty program, can pay for their bookings using a combination of cash and Skywards Miles, further reducing the pay out towards the cost of their tickets.

“Emirates is a global connector of people, places and experiences, and our European fare promotion presents a wonderful opportunity not just to be part of a traditional Christmas holiday with friends and family, but to plan travel for leisure or business to Europe till next September,” said Emirates Area Manager for Sri Lanka and Maldives Chandana de Silva.

Passengers in all cabin classes can enjoy the friendly service from Emirates’ multicultural cabin crew, meals prepared by gourmet chefs, and up to 4,500 channels of movies, TV programmes, music and podcasts, including channels in Sinhala and Tamil on the airline’s award-winning ice entertainment system. Emirates has been serving Sri Lanka since April 1986 and currently operates three flights a day from Colombo to Dubai, offering convenient connections to 158 destinations on six continents. The airline’s flight schedule is expected to be increased to four flights a day from 30 November.
