Cinnamon Grand rewards associates at quarterly meeting

Cinnamon Grand held its Annual Associates Quarterly Meeting for the third quarter of the year 2017/2018 on 9 January 2018 at the Oak Room. Over 500 associates and departmental heads representing different sections of the hotel were in attendance. Associates who have shown dedication, loyalty and dynamism over the last quarter were recognised and rewarded at the event. 

In his address to the gathering, Sector Head, City Sector and General Manager Cinnamon Grand – Rohan Karr thanked the Cinnamon Grand team for their continuous loyalty and exemplary performance shown despite the many challenges faced. In the spirit of rewarding exemplary performances, associates were acknowledged as Grand Stars and Grand Super Stars of the Quarter and were rewarded with cash prizes, special dining vouchers, bottles of wine and a letter of appreciation from the General Manager to celebrate their achievement. 

H.M.M.N. Munasinghe from the Kitchen Department was awarded Grand Super Star of the Quarter, while T.B.M. Farzath from the F&B Department, S.T. Jayawardana from Banquet Operations Department and W.S.A. Fernando from the HR Department were declared Grand Stars of the Quarter. The General Manager’s special award was shared by two associates from the Security Department: N.M. Vidanagama and R.D.S. Jayatilaka. 

Karr went on to make special mention of the efforts of the F&B and Kitchen Stewarding teams who worked tirelessly over the busy Christmas and New Year season and served over 4,200 people on the 31st night. He also thanked the Flower Room and Engineering Teams whose creations helped Cinnamon Grand continue to be in the forefront as the Hospitality Trendsetter in the City.
