Cinnamon Lakeside’s new General Manager addresses staff at Associates Quarterly Meeting

Rohan Fernandopulle, new General Manager at Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo addressed the staff at his first Associates Quarterly Meeting held recently at the Earls Court. The event started with one minute’s silence to pay respect to those affected by the Easter Sunday incident.

In a friendly, bi-lingual and interactive session, Fernandopulle, a leading and well-known chef and former General Manager of several Colombo properties, introduced himself to his new team.

He shared his previous experience from around the world and in Colombo, and spoke with associates to get to know more about the workings of the hotel and staff culture. Fernandopulle also discussed his views and plans for the hotel in the coming months to stay ahead of the competition.

As in previous events, awards were given to individuals and teams for their performance in the past quarter. 

As such, the Associate of the Quarter award was given to Priyantha Kalawitagoda from the Banquets Sales Department, and the Team of the Quarter award was given to the Chinese Kitchen team.

In addition, the Hotel’s Welfare Society presented scholarships to the children of Associates who had successfully completed their Advanced Level, Ordinary Level and Year Five exams.
