Colombo City Centre (CCC) Mall together with Ebert Silva Holidays Ltd., launched the ‘CCC Social Bus’ as an exciting experience exclusively for the CCC shoppers to discover all that Colombo has to offer on an open deck sightseeing tour.
The colourful event took place with the presence of Colombo City Centre CEO Praveen Methil and Ebert Silva Holidays Chairperson Rajini de Silva Mendis, and a large number of eager shoppers and participants including members from media.
The Colombo City Centre, the beautifully designed 47-storied skyscraper with its state-of-the art mall, located in a most scenic and historical setting opposite the Beira Lake, partners Ebert Silva Holidays, a pioneer brand in Sri Lanka’s travel and tourism which operates the ‘Colombo City Tour’ open deck city sightseeing service for this unique venture the CCC Social Bus exclusively for the shoppers at CCC. The foremost partners, The CCC and Ebert Silva Holidays are happy to have introduced yet another colourful and exciting addition to the city of Colombo and to those who patronise the Colombo City Centre.
The beautifully branded iconic CCC Social Bus will be offered exclusively for shoppers at the CCC Mall free of charge where they can go on board the bus to discover the magic of Colombo and learn about the history with a live commentary in English by a professional guide, who will be part of this interesting tour. Travellers can learn the significance of monuments and see Colombo in a new light with unique views of the city. It will also be an interesting educational tour especially for children to learn more about the city of Colombo, the influence by the colonial rulers in the city and the history of Sri Lanka.
The exciting CCC Social Bus tour will sightsee all the important monuments in the city including Nelum Pokuna theatre, BMICH, Town Hall, Dawatagaha Mosque, Eye Hospital Building, Chatham Street light house and clock tower, prison cell of the last king of Kandy, Old Dutch Hospital, Cargills Building, Port City, Sambodhi Chaitya, Siva Subramania Kovil among many others.
The CCC Social Bus Tour has the added convenience of being endlessly convenient with being able to park at the CCC mall, shop, dine-in and simply hop on the open deck double decker. The tours will start from the CCC. Shoppers will only have to present their receipts from the mall to receive the free travel pass for the CCC Social Bus. Hopping on board for an approximately 90-minute tour around the city, travellers can also get off at the National Museum or the Independence Square to explore Sri Lanka’s heritage or walk around at the venues to be picked up by the CCC Social Bus again on an exciting ‘hop-on hop-off’ concept. Tours will be operated every Saturday and Sunday with three tours that commence at 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. from the Colombo City Centre.
