In a landmark moment for Sri Lanka’s blooming tourism industry, a special incentive group comprising 126 distinguished participants is set to explore our island nation over the course of a seven-day tour.

Upon arrival the group was welcomed by the ground handling agent, Connaissance De Ceylan and the presence of the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau General Manager Chrishantha Fernando added an extra touch of prestige to the occasion, as guests were presented with enticing gifts to mark their arrival.

Their itinerary includes a journey through some of Sri Lanka’s most captivating regions, including the Cultural Triangle, Kandy, and the East Coast gem of Pasikudah giving them the opportunity to immerse themselves in Sri Lanka’s rich tapestry of culture, history, and natural beauty. Accommodation providers on their itinerary include Aliya Resort and Spa, Mahaweli Reach Hotel, and Amaya Beach, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay throughout their journey.

Connaissance De Ceylan Chairman Chandra Wickramasinghe emphasised the growing potential for incentive tourism in the country. “The increase of seating to Sri Lanka via the Middle East has created a high potential for incentives in Sri Lanka. The increase of direct flights from Europe will no doubt increase the country’s appeal further,” he said.

This visit not only highlights Sri Lanka’s emergence as a premier destination for incentive travel but also highlights the country’s ability to cater to discerning travelers seeking unique and enriching experiences. With its blend of cultural heritage, natural beauty, and warm hospitality, Sri Lanka continues to captivate visitors from around the globe.
