Hard Rock will expand its rapidly growing portfolio of hotels to one of the world’s most famous holiday and honeymoon destinations this summer, Maldives.
Opening as part of Crossroads Maldives, one of the Indian Ocean’s largest integrated resorts, the Hard Rock Hotel Maldives is located on the stunning Emboodhoo Lagoon, just 15 minutes from Malé International Airport by speed boat.
The 178 keys at Hard Rock Hotel Maldives will include duplex family suites, beach villas, overwater villas and pool villas.
The hotel will feature a series of signature music-inspired experiences for all ages, including the Hard Rock Roxity Kids Club and Teen Spirit, dedicated hangouts for kids and teens, plus a Body Rock fitness centre, a Rock Spa and a Rock Shop.
For kids, no two days at Hard Rock Hotel Maldives will be the same. Young guests who visit Hard Rock Roxity Kids Club and Teen Spirit will be given an ‘All Access Pass’ and can collect passport stamps by participating in activities, or ‘jams’.
A daily jam program can include arts and crafts, a mini circus with aerial acrobatics, gymnastics, a climbing wall and introductory self-defence classes, beach activities, water sports and musical stage shows with real instruments and professional musicians or with lip-synching, air guitar, dance routines and more. Private music lessons will also be available to unleash your child’s inner guitar hero or superstar DJ.
All children under the age of 6 will eat for free, while kids aged 6-12 will get a 50% discount at the hotel’s restaurants.
Families will also be able travel light by borrowing a wide range of children’s amenities, from cribs, UV bottle sanitisers and baby monitors for babies to safety stair gates, toilet training seats and bathtubs for toddlers and PS4 consoles, pool games and selfie sticks for teenagers.
Parents who need a night off can book the hotel’s certified babysitting service, giving them the chance to discover serene spa treatments or romantic meals for two.
Families can learn about the Maldives’ pristine environment at the Marine Discovery Centre. There, a team of dedicated marine biologists will teach guests about the many conservation activities taking place at Crossroads Maldives, including a Junior Coral Curator program and clownfish release initiatives.
“Hard Rock is one of the most famous names in the global hospitality industry, and we are delighted to bring this iconic concept to the Maldives for the first time. At Hard Rock Hotel Maldives, families have the chance to turn up the volume with an amazing array of fun, musical activities for all ages. Kids and grown-ups can fulfil their dreams of becoming a rock star, surrounded by idyllic tropical scenery that only the Maldives can provide,” said Dirk De Cuyper, chief hospitality officer, S Hotels & Resorts.
