Axis Bank, the third largest private sector bank in India headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, together with Hayleys Travels, a top tier Sri Lankan leisure and hospitality service provider, hosted 200 special guests from India recently.
Taj hospitality at its best, a gala dinner was flawlessly hosted, the event attended by a distinguished list of corporate guests. Entertainment for the evening included Bollywood acts and an array of local cultural performances. The gala dinner was in collaboration with and co-sponsored by the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau. Guests were whiffed off to the beaches in the south, water sports and other activities. Then, on to the central hills and a visit to a tea factory was a highlight to briefly experience the Ceylonese fine tea. Guests said the shopping spree in the capital city, local and Indian cuisine experienced during the stay, a brief glimpse of culture and heritage, Sri Lankan hospitality and service delivery during every touchpoint of the journey – left a lasting impression.
