Legendary lecturers of Ceylon Hotel School to be feted

Fifty years on, the past students of the most renowned hospitality training institute of Sri Lanka affectionately known as the ‘Ceylon Hotel School’ (CHS), have rallied together to felicitate the pioneer six lecturers namely, Rohan Dias Abeysinghe, Felix Bartholomeuze, Rohan De Silva Jayasundara, Desmond Fernando, Kumar Thambyah and Late Sahinda Wegodapola in a fitting manner by organising an international Zoom Webinar on Sunday 21 March at 9 a.m. Sri Lanka time. 

Over 200 past and present students have already registered from Australia, Sri Lanka, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Middle East, South and East Asia as well as from several other countries around the world.

The Ceylon Hotel School which started in 1966 has trained “thousands of past students who have graduated with certificates and management diplomas over the years, and have become successful hoteliers around the world due to the tireless commitment of the pioneer lecturers who set the higher standards and strict discipline to mould the students into successful hoteliers, entrepreneurs, and academia of world repute”.

All past and present students of Ceylon Hotel School (current SLITHM) and well-wishers are cordially invited to join the webinar to salute the ‘Six Giants’ on Sunday 21 March at 9 a.m.
