The main sponsor of World Tourism Day 2022 in Sri Lanka is Hippo Corporate, a fully Sri Lankan-owned company with a solid international presence. They are launching their two latest products “HotelsHippo.com” and “Ceylon Wellness” at the International Tourism Day celebrations in Sri Lanka.

Hippo Corporate joins as the main sponsor for this program organised by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA). HotelsHippo.com, the online hotel booking platform, was in development since 2019 through a lengthy research and development process with unique new features, a concept of Hippo Corporate Chairman Keerthi Herath. For the first time in the world, the Hippo platform offers one-to-one, real-time interaction with the guest and the hotel to negotiate a one-time preferential rate. The wellness tourism industry is projected to hit $ 817 billion this year and $ 1.3 Trillion in 2025. “Ceylon Wellness” is intended to bring much-needed foreign revenue to the country by approaching the market segment from the UK and Europe.

Sri Lanka has the full potential, paving a better opportunity to promote the country as an awe-inspiring destination for the wellness market without competition. This is an unparalleled opportunity to set up industry standards and pioneer the new sector in the country while obtaining experience and expertise for fast and steady harmonious growth.

Both platforms will effectively reduce the economic leakage which costs the country annually over $ 800 million. Hippo Corporate maintains its representative network in more than 20 countries, and is currently registering hotels and service providers for HotelsHippo.com and Ceylon Wellness services, and will soon be opened for international and local tourists.
