Open letter to DG Coast Conservation

Above is what I encountered at the Urani beach Arugam Bay yesterday morning. This is suicidal for an island which hopes to make its living on tourism. I also happened to meet MP Nazeer of SLMC who agreed to mobilise civilians to clean the beach on regular basis. Why cannot the Coast Conservation Department take lead in mobilising all stakeholders to make this the cleanest beach in the east?
